FREDERICK, Md.—The Hood College Dance Ensemble will perform its fall concerts Nov. 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m. in Hodson Auditorium in Rosenstock Hall at Hood College.
The performances, which are free and open to the public, will feature student and guest artists and guest performers.
Choreographers include Hood students Stephanie Weaver and Abigale Mills, ensemble co-captains; Kristen Geatz and Bretaon Stailey, ensemble members; Fran Marsili, artistic director; and Samantha Gertner, guest choreographer and former ensemble member. Guest performers include Souls of the Feet Dance Company.
The program will include a contemporary piece by Weaver entitled Like a Diamond, with music by Rhianna; a lyrical dance by Mills to Wide Awake by Katy Perry; a stylish jazz number by Geatz to Everybody Talks by Neon Trees; Stailey's character jazz dance to Because I'm Blonde; Marsili’s energy-charged jazz piece to One Girl Revolution by Superchic; and Gerner's pointe/lyrical number to St. James Infirmary Blues by Blue Vipers of
