FREDERICK, Md.—A presentation marking the birthday of slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. will be held Jan. 30 at 6:30 p.m. in the Whitaker Campus Center at Hood College.
Bill Grimmette, a nationally known living history interpreter, storyteller, actor and motivational speaker, will present Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: A Living History Presentation, a re-enactment of the life of the famed activist.
Grimmette draws on his lifelong career in acting, writing and directing to create critically acclaimed living history characterizations of historical personalities, including Benjamin Banneker, Frederick Douglass, W.E.B. Du Bois and King. He has performed throughout the United States and abroad at prestigious institutions such as the Kennedy Center and Smithsonian museums in Washington, D.C., and on National Public Radio.
