FREDERICK, Md.—Eight members of the department of music at Hood College will present a faculty showcase recital on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 3 p.m. in Brodbeck Music Hall.
The program includes a wide variety of composers, including Chopin, Bach, Poulenc, Hotteterre and Sirocki. The musicians, all active performers in the region and teachers in Hood’s music program, include David Duree, clarinet; Barbara Spicher, flute; Noel Lester and Laine Beachley, piano; Jan Aaland, soprano; Wayne Wold, organ; Brian Hinkley, trombone; and William Simms, guitar and theorbo.
The recital is free and open to the public. Brodbeck Hall is handicapped accessible and air-conditioned.
