Hood offers 28 majors and 20 concentrations within the majors. Students can double major and can structure an individualized program of study—the interdepartmental major. In addition, secondary education certification is offered in seven areas: biology, chemistry, English, French, history, mathematics and Spanish.
Students declare their major during the spring of their sophomore year, at which time they are assigned to an adviser within the major.
