Professor George earned her bachelor of arts and doctoral degrees from American University in Washington, D.C. Her research and teaching interests include international trade, labor, development and gender economics. Her current research evaluates how trade liberalization differentially affects women’s and men’s employment in the United States. Before joining Hood College, Professor Hinchey taught as a collateral instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University and as a lecturer at American University.
