In addition, all programs are based conceptually on the Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) Standards and adhere to the national standards for the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

Education faculty are active in national professional organizations and in local schools as supervisors of candidates, consultants and researchers. Hood’s full-time faculty is supplemented by adjunct faculty who are recognized as distinguished educators.
