Dr. Carmen Constantinescu has been a professional in special education since 2004 and, to date, she has held positions as an early interventionist as well as a special education teacher and administrator for PreK-12 programs in the Washington, D.C., area.
Dr. Constantinescu received her M.A. degree in Early Childhood Special Education from George Washington University and her doctorate degree from University of Maryland College Park in Special Education Policy. Dr. Constantinescu has also collaborated on research projects for J.F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the American Institutes for Research and is a freelance writer for Education Week. Outside of her professional engagements, she serves Washington families as a special education advocate.
