I've had people tell me that I'm a born Humanities teacher, and years ago now I acted on that implicit advice and entered the field. I have no regrets or misgivings whatsoever; my decision to do so has been one of the very best decisions I've ever made. I joined Hood's English Department in 2008, and I've been happy and grateful all along to be able to reach out to many bright freshmen to help them learn how to improve their writing and to give them reason to let serious literature enrich their young lives. I love what I do, and my students can tell!
