Biography

Jan Aaland, a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, has performed leading operatic roles throughout the region. She is also an active concert soloist, having appeared with a number of symphony orchestras. In addition to teaching voice at Hood, she is soprano soloist at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Frederick and choir director at Congregation B'nai Abraham in Hagerstown.
