Biography

Bill Powell, instructor of piano, earned a bachelor's degree from Hood and an master's degree in music from Shenandoah University. He is currently pursuing a D.M.A. in organ performance at Shenandoah, where he studies organ with Dr. Steven Cooksey. Mr. Powell is currently music director at Glade United Church of Christ in Walkersville, organist and choir director at St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Walkersville and assistant organist at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Frederick. His teachers have included Kathryn Z. Nicodemus, Wayne L. Wold and Noel Lester.
