Research and Teaching Interests
Paige Whaley Eager, Ph.D., earned her doctorate in political science from the University of Delaware in 2003 and joined the political science department at Hood College in September 2005. Currently, she is chair of the political science department and program director of the global studies major. She teaches the following courses: International Relations, Introduction to Global Studies, Comparative Politics, Politics of Developing Countries, Terrorism and Political Violence, U.S. Foreign Policy and The Politics of Music. She is the co-faculty adviser for the Model United Nations program and teaches a one-credit course on the Model United Nations. She is the author of three books: Global Population Policy: From Population Control to Reproductive Rights (2004); From Freedom Fighters to Terrorists: Women and Political Violence (2008); and Waging Gendered Wars: U.S. Military Women in Afghanistan and Irag (2014).
