Research Opportunities

Psychology majors are encouraged to work with faculty on research projects. Conducting research is a great way to learn about psychology first-hand. It is also an important experience to have when applying to many graduate programs.

Interested in conducting psychological research?

Professors Shannon Kundey, Diane Oliver, Elizabeth MacDougall and Jason Trent are all accepting applications to join their respective research teams. Click on “Faculty Research Labs” on the left to learn more about the research each faculty is working on.

Summer Research Institute

Students spend eight weeks on campus and work with Hood faculty on a project; they receive a stipend and free lodging for the period. Click on “Summer Research Institute” on the left for more info.
