Tara Fulco

Admission Counselor

E-mail: fulco@hood.edu

Hello! My name is Tara Fulco. I am a recent graduate from Hobart and William Smith Colleges where I studied international relations with a concentration in economic development and Spanish and Hispanic studies. During my time at the college I was fortunate to travel to Mendoza, Argentina, during a semester abroad. I traveled extensively and experienced not only the culture but also the culinary delights such as empanadas and a great dessert, dulce de leche!

This year I will be recruiting in New England, and in Harford County and Baltimore City and County in Maryland. I especially look forward to my trips back to the New England area and will make sure to stop by my hometown in Sheffield, Mass. Most people have no geographical sense of where that is; their guesses typically are off by at least 100 miles in any direction. However, I am five minutes walking distance to Connecticut and a five-minute car ride to New York State. So, yes, I grew up in the middle of the nowhere and have a strong appreciation for the outdoors. Although I enjoy the outdoors, most of my childhood was spent in a hockey rink chasing a puck (or in a car traveling to a hockey rink). Now that I am in Maryland, I am still determined to play hockey and to continue to follow my beloved Boston Bruins!

Given that I was raised in a rural environment, I also love country music. Most people my age talk about how embarrassing their first CD was, however, I take it to another level when I mention that my first music purchase was an Alan Jackson cassette tape.

Now that you know more about me, I hope to get the chance to know more about you! I look forward to working with you throughout the admission process. Please be sure to contact me with any questions and I hope to see you on campus soon!
