Founded approximately three years ago, the Hood Improv Troupe (HIT) is a performance-based
group that strives to bring all the excitement and laughter that is improvisation to the Hood
College community and beyond. Nothing is scripted and everything comes from the creative
minds of the performers. We create a safe and fun environment where any Hood student can feel
comfortable expressing themselves. Various improv games and other formats are used as well as
basic theatrical skills. Membership is based on auditions which occur once a semester.
This semester's auditions will occur on:
Tuesday, Feb. 15: 5:30-6:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Feb. 16: 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Location TBA but most likely the Marx Center
Rehearsals will be in the Marx Center
No previous experience is necessary, but you will be required to take the Theater Improvisation
course the semester following your induction.
You are not required to come to both audition times.
Wear comfortable clothes, bring a good sense of humor and be prepared to move around!
Performance dates will be established soon and will be posted. We hope to have many more
performances both on campus and possibly at the MET in downtown Frederick.
