HCSMT (Hood College Student Musical Theatre) is a student-run organization that brings
musical theatre on campus! The group was founded in September of 2010 and is co-run
by Ashley Birdsell and Billy Lewis. Professor Joe Brady (theatre) and Dr. Noel Verzosa
(music) serve as advisors. HCSMT is open to all current Hood College students; no experience
required, just a love of singing, dancing, and showtunes!
HCSMT's fall 2010 cabaret "Making Noise" broke Hood College records by selling out
over capacity both evenings! Currently, HCSMT is producing a spring cabaret, "Broadway
101," featuring the most popular numbers from hit Broadway shows. HCSMT hopes to raise
enough funds to mount a full-length musical in the fall of 2011. Questions? Ashley Birdsell
