Professors here take the time to help their students reach their full potential, which I really like. Have you participated in an internship or leadership opportunity in the local area or on campus? I am currently interning at the Middle East Institute in Washington, D.C. What did you gain from that experience? I'm gaining practical work experience as well as fantastic opportunities to network. What is your most memorable experience at Hood? My most memorable experience at Hood was my stay with one of Hood's overnight hosts. I was a prospective student at the time and I had such a good time that I knew that Hood was the right place for me. What do you value most about your relationships with your professors? I value their patience and dedication. They've really helped me to realize my goals in life and I will remember them forever. What is something that surprised you about Hood? I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly everyone is here... all the time! It's really refreshing. I feel like I'm surrounded by positive energy. What was your most rewarding class or academic experience at Hood? Why? My most rewarding experience was my study abroad stay in Toulouse, France. I had the best time and my French really improved. I cameback to the U.S. forever changed for the better. When you aren't in class, what is your favorite thing to do in your spare time? I love to read and hang out with my friends in downtown Frederick. The restaurants are amazing there and the shops sell unique items that make for great gifts. What is your favorite campus event? My favorite campus event would be May Madness. The weather is perfect, the food is pretty good and I love the opportunity to spend time with my friends. |
