Why did you choose Hood College?
My mom has worked at Hood for 14 years and it seemed to be the best option because of my scholarship opportunity.
Have you participated in an internship or leadership opportunity in the local area or on campus?
I have had the distinct opportunity to intern at the law office of Mary Drawbaugh, Esq. I have since transitioned to a paid law clerk there. I am also the director for membership for the UNESCO Center for Peace, coordinator for the Dona Nobis Pacem Foundation, volunteer at the Beethoven Found, serve as a board member of the international nonprofit Sol and more.
What did you gain from that experience?
Aside from invaluable professional and leadership skill, I have further cemented my belief that serving others through everything I do is the key to success. Additionally, I have not only learned how to cope with personal and cultural difference of others but also how toleverage those differences for the benefit of my clients and colleagues.
What is your most memorable experience at Hood?
Debating bills at the State House in Annapolis with the Maryland Student Legislature.
What do you value most about your relationships with your professors?
I, like many others, value the accessibility of the professors and their enthusiasm for helping students with anything they may need, even when it does not particularly pertain to academia. Furthermore, I value professors such as Dr. Janis Judson who go out of their way to entertain and respect the opinions of students even when they obviously contradict their own. It is through such respect that true growth can be attained in the classroom.
What is something that surprised you about Hood?
Having been exposed to Hood for many years prior to attendance, I and become somewhat jaded. I have been surprised at how much I have fallen in love with Hood and grateful for all the opportunities God gave me through it.
What was your most rewarding class or academic experience at Hood? Why?
The most rewarding academic experience I have had was working with Phi Alpha Delta to develop programs to help students, in and out of the legal field, grow their knowledge of jurisprudence and legalissues.

Volunteering in the community.
