Why did you choose Hood College?
I love the small class size and the strong language program at Hood. I heard wonderful things about the study abroad program, which really influenced mydecision.
Have you participated in an internship or leadership opportunity in the local area or on campus?
I am the leader of a Daisy Girl Scout troop that meets in Waverley Elementary School.
What did you gain from that experience?
I learned how to be a positive role model for young girls. I networked and gained connections with other adults as a leader as well.
What is your most memorable experience at Hood?
Policies for Dollars is my most memorable experience at Hood. I really loved how everyone in the dorm came together and supported one another. Everyone was so excited and happy; it was one of my favorite evenings at Hood.
What do you value most about your relationships with your professors?
I really like that professors get to know their students. I don't feel like just a number to them.
What is something that surprised you about Hood?
I was surprised by the number of different activities offered during the year. There's always something to do on campus.
What was your most rewarding class or academic experience at Hood? Why?
I loved my Honors 201 course. It made me think in ways that I had not previously and was truly an interesting course.
When you aren't in class, what is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?
As a member of the Hood Dance Ensemble, I love rehearsing with the other members and taking dance classes at local studios.
What is your favorite campus event?
I loved May Madness. It really helps to relieve some of the stress before finals week.
