Washington, D.C., Trends and Nutrition Discussion and Reception

The office of alumni relations and special events invites you and your guests to join Hood’s own panel of experts to gain insightful information about today’s nutritional trends. Enjoy a meet-and-greet with three alumni health experts from 6 to 6:30 p.m.: Edith (Edee) Howard Hogan ’59, nutrition consultant, Food and Culinary Professionals; Tracy Zogran Fox ’81, president of Food, Nutrition and Policy Consultants; and Joy Dubost, Ph.D. ’95, director of Nutrition and Healthy Living, National Restaurant Association. From 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., join in on a panel discussion and question-and-answer session about current nutrition trends, followed by a cocktail reception with healthy fare from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Continue the discussion with our expert panelists and President Ronald J. Volpe and Vice President for Institutional Advancement Nancy Gillece '81 during the reception. Enjoy complimentary appetizers, nonalcoholic beverages and wine bar.

Calling all alumni authors and friends! Alumna and author, Trish Lear ’66 will be serving as the College’s first Nora Roberts, Writer in Residence and you are invited to join her. Lear will share her insight into publishing and other tips of the literary trade. Questions and answers and a cocktail reception will follow.

If you are a published alumni author, we invite you to bring your books for a book signing and sale. Tables will be available for you to display your collection.

In addition, the Hood College Archives announces the publication of the pictorial history of Hood College. Publication coincides with the 100th anniversary of the renaming of the College to honor Margaret Scholl Hood, an early, and very generous, benefactor, and an enthusiastic supporter of education for young people. This publication will be on display and for sale.
