FREDERICK, Md.—A documentary that examine how a rapidly changing China is affecting the lives of people who live there will be shown Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. in Whitaker Campus Center at Hood College.
Young and Restless in China presents an in-depth look at what it means to be young and Chinese today and the new challenges brought on by a rapidly changing society. Raised under communism and now making their way in China’s exploding capitalist economy, the PBS Frontline-produced film takes an intimate look at nine young Chinese over the course of four years who are trying to make sense of their lives in a country now driven by industrialization and globalization.
Chinese food will be served following the movie.
