FREDERICK, Md.— Paintings, photography and digital art
will be on display April 15-24 in the Hodson Gallery in the Tatem Arts Center
at Hood College.
The opening
reception and gallery talks for these senior exhibitions will be April 21, 5-7
p.m. The gallery is open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
“Interjections” is a display of paintings from
senior art student Amber Kalmar. Kalmar's display weaves man-made metal objects
with organic flora to create a contrast of nature and industry.

Lora's “Biomechanical” will feature a stimulating collection of digital artwork.
Lora explores the strange connection between man and machine focusing on the
individual's love or hate for the automobile and directing special attention to
stereotypes and personalities of Americans. Lora will graduate in May with a
bachelor's degree in art with a concentration in studio art digital media.

Myers displays images highlighting abstract organic shapes in everyday
commodities in “Macular Inception.” Originally from the greater Baltimore area,
Myers plans to pursue her photography fulltime after receiving her bachelor's
degree in art this May.
