Helping Hood Thrive
Tuition covers about 60 percent of Hood's yearly operating expenses. In addition, every traditional-aged first-year student at Hood receives some sort of financial aid. How does the College make up for this shortfall? Partly through the contributions made to Hood College Annual Funds.
Annual Funds are used to enhance Hood's academic programs, retain Hood's excellent faculty and so much more.
Donations vary in size and come from a variety of people, including alumnae, alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents, grandparents and friends. Every donation, every year, helps the College.
Hood relies on yearly Annual Funds donations to maintain the high standards for which it is known.
