More than 9,000 companies (including parent companies and their subsidiaries) in the United States provide support to higher education through employee Matching Gift programs. Gifts from employees, retirees and spouses of employees are often matched at a dollar-for-dollar rate or more.
The principle behind Matching Gifts is simple. Companies that provide these programs agree to "match" their employees’ donations by making their own gifts to the College.
