This course will consider the origin, development and variety of photography as used
throughout the world, from its invention to the present. Students will also become acquainted
with contemporary critical and interpretive approaches to photography. Lecture and discussion
of selected readings and images. Students will have opportunity to produce both visual and
written projects.
