Prerequisites: EDUC 502 and EDUC 571. Exceptions may be considered for certified practicing
special education and/or general education teachers who wish to take the course for graduate credit for
recertification purposes. (Summer session/3 credits)
The purpose of this course is to provide candidates with laboratory and demonstration
experiences that engage them in exploring and identifying features of assistive technology
designed to meet the unique pre-academic and academic learning needs of diverse learners,
including English-as-a-second language, bilingual and special needs P-12 studlearners who have transitioned from school to work.
