Prerequisite: EDUC 515 or the equivalent. (3 credits)
A study of the principles and methods of teaching reading and the appropriate match of
students with materials and teaching strategies at the middle school, junior high and senior
high levels. Content area needs, study skills and appropriate skill remediation and refinement
will be explored. In-school experiences are required which include observations of teachers and
the implementation of instructional strategies to groups of students.
