Prerequisite: ENV 502 or permission of the instructor. (1 credit)
This course provides an overview of standard procedures used for data collection and analysis
of terrestrial insect communities. Students will learn how to sample insects in a broad range of
categories from litter communities to aerial species. In addition it will provide practical
experience in the methods employed for qualitatively and quantitatively evaluating insects in
these same systems.
