Prerequisite: ENV 502 or permission of the instructor. (1 credit)
This course provides an overview of the collection, identification and natural history of
vertebrates from Maryland. Field exercises will provide opportunities to observe these
organisms in their respective habitats and to collect specimens. Students will learn the
ecological adaptations, physiographic distribution and economic importance of selected
vertebrates. Two overnight field trips are required.
