Prerequisite: ARTS 501. (2 credits/lab fee)
A study of the properties of glazes and the materials used to develop original glazes and adjust
existing glazes for stoneware and porcelain. The course will include directed study research
and laboratory testing with selected topics in glaze composition, clay/glaze relationship, color,
texture and materials.
