HIST 247 Europe from 1900 to 1939

(Course is offered as needed/3 credits) 

A study of Europe and European society in the first part of the 20th century. Includes the political developments in the major countries of western and eastern Europe as well as social, intellectual and economic influences. Major topics include the origins of World War I, the great changes in Europe of the 1920s, the totalitarian regimes of the 1930s and the steps toward World War II.
