Prerequisites: MATH 500 or equivalent and current teaching certification. (Second semester—even
years/3 credits)
This course examines current research and accepted practices in teaching statistics and
probability in the secondary school, based on national and state standards. The focus is on 354 GRADUATE COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
problem solving and mathematical reasoning, communication, and integrating statistics and
probability with other disciplines. Students will learn to use appropriate instructional materials,
including technology, to support the teaching and learning of statistics and probability.
