Prerequisites: BMS 511, BMS 512 and BMS 523, or permission of the instructor.(Offered as needed/3 credits)
An introduction into the properties of therapeutic drugs used to treat disease. Topics include
receptors, pharmacokinetics, therapeutic properties, toxicities, indications for use, drug
development and testing. The course will emphasize general principles and specific, selected
therapeutic classes of drugs.
