COMMENTS:
Consult your language instructor in the spring of the freshman year concerning study in a Spanish-speaking country. Students who are strong in languages are encouraged to study abroad, whether or not they plan to be language majors. Opportunities are available in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Santiago, Chile; Lima, Perú; and the Dominican Republic through the Hood-CIEE affiliation.
Freshmen often place into the intermediate level of Spanish. If 103 and 104 are completed in the freshman year, students should proceed with 203, 215, 220, and 240 in the sophomore year.
