Master's Degree Programs: Educational Leadership (M.S.)
Program of Study
The Hood College Program in Educational Leadership provides students with a comprehensive foundation in the principles and practices of school administration and supervision.The thirty-six credit hour program is specifically designed to meet the needs of teachers who wish to pursue a graduate degree in school administration and supervision on a part-time basis. The Educational Leadership program offers courses in the evenings and during the summer.
Four to six graduate courses are offered each semester; therefore, a student may complete the program in three years. The maximum time allowed for completion is seven years.
Program Requirements
The 36 credit program includes a comprehensive examination and is designed for teachers who wish to pursue a Hood graduate degree in school administration and supervision on a part-time basis. The M.S. in Educational Leadership program was developed in response to the growing demand of highly skilled school administrators in Frederick, Montgomery, and Washington counties. Hood College Educational Leadership Faculty
Successful school administrators -- including a former public school superintendent and a principal-- teach graduate students in the program, supplemented by specialists who serve as guest lecturers and adjunct instructors.
