Biography

Instructor of Education and Reading Specialist; B.A., Shepherd College; M.S., Hood College (2005). Instructor and Reading Specialist in the graduate Reading Specialist program and lead teacher for the Graduate Reading Specialist for 6 years. She also has held instructional positions for 16 years for Frederick County Public Schools including 9 years as a classroom teacher and 7 years as a reading specialist. Her professional interests lie in assessment and data analysis and literacy leadership including effective partnerships within schools for improved student success. Ms. Day-Kells earned her Bachelors degree in elementary education from Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, WV and her Masters degree in curriculum and instruction: reading specialization from Hood.
