Biography

As the Director of Education Assessment it is my responsibility to assist the Education Department as they assess learning and meet the national, state, and local standards associated with each of our programs.

As the NCATE coordinator it is my responsibility to guide the Education Department through the process of accreditation through the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), thus ensuring that our program meets rigorous standards.

Prior to employment at Hood College I was an educator in Frederick county Public Schools for 34 years working at both the school and the central office level as a science classroom teacher, enrichment specialist, and teacher specialist for professional development.
