13-Jan-05

Black InventorsA traveling museum will help kick off Hood College's Black History Month celebration Feb. 1 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Campus Commons Room and Atrium in the Whitaker Campus Center.

The Black Inventions Exhibit and touring show "Made in America: Black Inventors USA," is a multimedia presentation that pays tribute to America's unsung heroes, black inventors and scientists whose contributions have made the country safe, productive and fun.

More than 100 authentic artifacts are represented in the exhibit that includes patent designs, personal items and rare photographs. The collection highlights the accomplishments of those in the fields of science, aerospace, healthcare, agriculture and engineering.
