Transfer Admission
Welcome to Hood College!
Each year, a large number of students choose to transfer to Hood College.
We have tried to make the process of having your previous college transcripts evaluated quickly so you will have a semester-by-semester roadmap of courses you still need to complete.
Hood College encourages transfer students to quickly become a part of the Hood community. We begin with an orientation program to acclimate you to campus services, facilities, faculty and your fellow students. You will immediately feel at home on the campus.
The transfer program is for degree-seeking women and men, who are 18-23 years of age and who have 12 or more credits from an accredited college or university. Transfer students, 24 years of age and older may be eligible for admission through Hood's Adult Studies Program.
As a transfer, you will benefit from studying with a dedicated faculty in a small class setting. You will be able to work with our career center to arrange an internship or job interview. Being located in Frederick, Maryland, and its proximity to Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, students have many opportunities for career exploration.
