Fall 2012 Semester New Students:
Next Steps to Enrollment 

• First-Year Students 
1. Submit your enrollment and housing deposits to secure your place in the first-year class and residence halls (if you wish to reside on campus)  
2. Learn more about the First-year Living Learning Communities 
3. Register for Orientation 
4. Submit official transcripts of your final grades  
5. Request the College Board send official score reports of your AP exams to us   
• Transfer Students  
1. Submit your enrollment and housing deposits to secure your place in the class and residence halls (if you wish to reside on campus)   
2. Angie Dodson, assistant registrar and transfer coordinator, will be contacting you to schedule an advising and registration appointment
3. Sign up for Transfer Transition, your special orientation program   
4. Send official transcripts of any course work you plan to complete between now and the beginning of the semester   

Spring 2012 Semester New Students:

1. Submit your enrollment and housing deposits and complete Enrollment Agreement form to secure your place at Hood for the spring semester and residence halls (if you wish to reside on campus)

3. Have your final transcripts sent to the Registrar's Office
4. Register for Spring Transition, Sunday, Jan. 22, your special orientation program

2. Take placement tests at www.hood.edu/placement by Jan. 3
3. Once you have completed your placement tests , e-mail orientation@hood.edu and an academic adviser will contact you to register you for Spring Semester classes

5. Have your final transcripts sent to the Registrar's Office
6. Register for Spring Transition, Sunday, Jan. 22, your special orientation program
