| AN IMPORTANT TRADITION AT HOOD: During the early years of the College, the Hood ring underwent several changes. In 1925 the alumnae association adopted a standard design chosen by a committee of alumnae and students. This coveted tradition continues Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Ring Dinner when the junior class members receive their Hood rings. |

| KUDOS! Alums continue to ensure that all juniors have the opportunity for a Hood ring. Through generous donations from alumnae and alumni this year, 11 juniors received partial or full ring scholarships. Not only have alums donated to the Ring Scholarship, but some have donated their own ring back to the College to be given to a deserving junior. This year, four recipients are getting a Legacy Ring donated by alumnae Cynthia Shafer Campbell '69, Marjorie Menaker Stoler '50, Jacqueline Wright '44 and Nancy Borden Hoy '55. For more information about the Ring Scholarship and Legacy Ring programs, contact Peggy Bull Larsen '74, M.S. '79 at (301) 696-3900 or larsen@hood.edu. |
