REUNION MEMORIES FROM THE CLASS OF 1998: Sally Schaeffer, Class of 1998 reunion chair, shares her memories of Reunion Weekend 2007. Many of the classmates arrived on campus in time for the State of the College Address by President Ronald J. Volpe, Ph.D., Saturday morning, followed by a visit to the bookstore and hugs with Olivia White, Ph.D., vice president for student life and dean of students. While some classmates went to the Alumnae and Alumni Luncheon in Coblentz, others took the opportunity to get reacquainted with downtown Frederick and Market Street or attend a reception sponsored by the African-American Alumnae and Alumni Network. Saturday's highlight was the class photo on the steps of Alumnae Hall, where everyone reconnected with old friends from other classes. The fun continued at the class dinner and everyone had a great time looking through the yearbook, talking to faculty guests Wayne Wold and Margery Elfin, and hearing from the president. We are looking forward to our 15th Reunion in 2013. To share your memories, please send your comments to the office of alumnae and alumni relations at alumoffice@hood.edu. |
