The Blazer men remained undefeated at the Odom Fitness Center at Fort Detrick with a nonconference victory over St. Vincent College. The Blazers rallied from an 11-point second-half deficit and matched a program record for free throws made with 36 against the Bearcats. Sophomore forward Tory Wilson (above) set a season-high with 17 points, 15 of which came during Hood's second-half comeback, while senior forward J'Air Brady contributed 18 points and junior center Tyler Snoots had 11. The Blazers will take their three-game winning streak on the road Saturday when they face Capital Athletic Conference rival Stevenson University. The two teams split the regular season series last year, as each squad defended its home court.

Women's Basketball (2-5, 0-2 CAC)

The Blazer women ended a three-game slide and picked up their first victory of the season at the Odom Fitness Center at Fort Detrick Friday against Philadelphia Biblical University. Junior guard Allyson Lethbridge and senior forward Jen Willison combined for 32 of Hood's 51 points against the Crimson Eagles. Junior guard/forward Kameran Evans (above) earned her first start in the blue and grey against Goucher College Wednesday and tallied a season-high 15 points. The Blazers travel to Capital Athletic Conference foe Stevenson University Saturday for their final tilt of 2009. The Mustangs captured both regular season meetings a year ago.
