The Blazers have matched their best start in Capital Athletic Conference action in their four years in the league at 6-1 with wins over Stevenson University, Gallaudet University and Marymount University. The Blazer men won nine of their first 10 CAC contests in 2006-07, the program's inaugural year in the league, which also led to
Hood’s first-ever NCAA berth. Senior forward J’Air Brady was Hood’s leading scorer in two games, matching his season-high with 20 points against the Mustangs. Junior Tyler Snoots swatted a career-best five Mustangs shot attempts in
that contest as well. In Monday's matchup at Marymount, sophomore Tory Wilson (above) led all scorers with a career-high 23 points and scored the game-winning layup just before time expired to propel the Blazers back into a tie with St. Mary's College (Md.) for first place in the conference standings. These two teams will square off at the Odom Fitness Center at Fort Detrick Wednesday.

Blazers matched or exceeded their season-highs in scoring against Gallaudet University, including seniors Jessica Parrish and Brianna Raithel (above) and freshmen Jessica Talley and Stacey Jones. Willison also tied for game-high scoring honors opposite the Saints Monday. The Blazers continue their quest for their first CAC win of the season with two home tilts versus St. Mary's College (Md.) and Stevenson University.

Freshman Andrew Bodine (above) and senior Chris Moreland won one individual event apiece against Frostburg State University Saturday. Moreland took top honors in the 200 free (2:17.34) while Bodine paced the field in the 50 free (26.44). Moreland was also second in the 100 fly (1:05.79) and Bodine took second in the 100 back (1:12.44). The 200 free relay team of Moreland, Bodine, Matthew Benoit and Ethan Weidman outpaced the Bobcat relay team by more than six seconds in a time of 1:49.80. The men's squad travels to Capital Athletic Conference rival Gallaudet for a dual meet Sunday afternoon.

Senior captain Erica Hamor was a double-winner Saturday at Frostburg State University, clocking a time of 2:47.87 in the 200 individual medley and 5:18.97 in the 400 free. Other winners for the Blazers were Taryn Scafide (above) in the 200 free (2:57.94) and Aleece Groom in the 100 fly (1:28.63).
