The Blazers finished as the runner-up in the Pride of Maryland Tournament for the second time in three years. Sophomore guard Brenden Straughn and sophomore forward Tory Wilson represented Hood on the all-tournament team. Straughn averaged 10.7 points, 3.3 steals and 3.3 assists during the three-day tournament. Wilson posted a double-double in his Hood debut versus Washington College Friday with team-highs of 12 points and 11 boards. The Blazers benefitted from a balanced scoring attack Saturday against Johns Hopkins University. Hood shot a season-high 52.2 percent from the floor and got at least seven points from seven different players. Junior Tyler Snoots (above) notched his first double-double of the season against St. Mary's College (Md.) with 13 points and a game-high 12 rebounds to go along with four blocks.

Senior Jen Willison recorded her first double-double of the season and 27th of her career against Averett University Friday. Freshman Dyanna Prater tallied a team- and career-high 16 points and picked off seven steals opposite the Cougars.
Junior Allyson Lethbridge (above) also reached double figures with 14 points as the Blazers outscored Averett in the second half, 34-31. Hood is idle until Nov. 30 when the Blazers travel to Trinity University (D.C.) for a nonconference contest.

Junior Kristen Kucharski was a double winner for Hood as the Blazers captured five individual events in a loss to the Gators. Kucharski took top honors in the 200 butterfly (2:48.92) and the 100 butterfly (1:15.43). Aleece Groom (above) paced the field in the 100 breaststroke (1:23.58) and Andrea Haines and Taryn Scafide earned nine points apiece for their efforts in the 200 breaststroke and 200 individual medley, respectively. Hood's 200 freestyle relay of Kucharski, Groom, Scafide and Haines turned in a winning time of 2:08.92. Hood is idle until Dec. 4.
