On or about Monday, April 15th, 2013, Hood's Student e-mail server "Hermes" will be shut down. Please read further to see if this affects you and your Hood e-mail.
In early 2010, Hood entered into a partnership with Microsoft to provide a larger and more robust mail service to our Students. Beginning at that time, active students were migrated from the existing Student mail server, "Hermes", to the new Student mail server at Live@edu. We called this new service "Hood in the Cloud". Since that time, thousands of Hood Students have been migrated to the Cloud as well as all new students (since Fall 2010). However, there are still a few hundred Students that we have not heard from that are still residing on "Hermes".
For further assistance, please contact Hood's IT Help Desk at (301) 696-3622 or email@example.com.
