Nov. 9-13: It's On Us campaign

FREDERICK, Md.—Hood College will participate in a national week of action Nov. 9-13 to raise awareness about sexual assault.

The College’s “It’s On Us” campaign will include more than 10 events dedicated to raising awareness about sexual assault, fully understanding the issue and pledging to help keep men and women safe from sexual assault.

There will be two showings of “It Happened Here,” a documentary that follows five college students as they recount their sexual assault experiences and take action against their respective schools.

There will also be an Escalation Workshop, a program designed to educate students about the warning signs of relationship violence and to activate a movement for change on college campuses. This program is from the One Love Foundation and is provided to colleges and high schools by a grant from the Baltimore Ravens. Local partners working to address issues around sexual assault will take part in the workshop.

Other local support agencies will also be available to talk about their services.
