Admitted Students’ Day
Admitted Students' Days, exclusively for students who have been admitted to Hood College, is an opportunity to learn more about what it means to be a part of our thriving college community. We will be holding these events on Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, April 14. During this program, students will have an opportunity to: attend two classes, attend a showcase of student clubs and organizations, take an inside look at the campus and residence halls, meet with and talk to faculty members and much more. There will also be an optional overnight component to this event. Please call the Admission Office at 301-696-3400 for more information or to register for one of these events.
Game Days at Hood College

Saturday, February 9 (Men’s game featured as part of this event; attending the women’s game is optional)
- 1 p.m.: Hood women vs. Elizabethtown (Please call our office if you wish to come early and attend this game)
- 2 p.m.: Pre-game Reception
- 3 p.m.: Hood men vs. Elizabethtown
Saturday, February 16 (Women’s game featured as part of this event; attending the men’s game is optional)
- 12 p.m.: Pre-game Reception
- 1 p.m.: Hood women vs. Lycoming
- 3 p.m.: Hood men vs. Lycoming (please feel free to stay after if you would like to attend this game)

Transfer Advising Days
Meet Hood's transfer admission staff and learn about transferring to Hood! Transfer Advising Day is available by appointment.
- Speak with a transfer admission counselor ;
- Have your official/unofficial transcript evaluated (please bring a copy of official/unofficial transcript(s) from all institution(s) you attended);
- Take a tour of the beautiful Hood College campus;
- Learn about the financial aid process; and
- Enjoy complimentary refreshments.
Weekend Appointments for Transfer Students
Due to the busy schedules of transfer students, we are now offering extended visit opportunities on weekends. A campus tour will be available as part of the visit if desired.
Weekday Visits
Register online for a weekday campus visit, available Monday through Friday during either the morning or the afternoon. During your visit you will interview with an admission counselor and take a student-led campus tour. Please register one week in advance.
Blazer For A Day Visits (Classroom Experience)
Register online for an expanded daily visit option available Monday through Friday. During your visit you will meet with a member of the Hood College admission staff, tour campus with a current Hood student, sit in on a class of your choice (while your parent will have the option to visit our Financial Aid Office) and eat lunch in our dining hall. Plan to arrive to campus in the morning and stay through lunch. Please note that we will try our best to honor your first class selection, but will need to place you in your second selection if any unforeseen scheduling conflicts arise. Please register one week in advance of your visit.
Weekend Morning Visits
Register online for a weekend visit. An admission representative will be on hand to make a presentation and answer questions at 10 a.m., followed by a student-led campus tour. We will be offering presentations on 2/2, 2/16, 3/2, 3/16, 4/6, 4/20, 4/28, 5/4 and 5/18.
Spring Preview Day
Register online for our spring open house scheduled on Saturday, April 27. Current students, faculty, and staff members will be on hand to talk to you and your family about academics, life on campus, the financial aid process and anything else that you want to know more about. Campus tours will be offered.
