FREDERICK, Md.—The Hood College dance ensemble will present its fall concert Nov. 4 and 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Hodson Auditorium in Rosenstock Hall.
Ensemble co-captain Dominique Byrd has created a group contemporary piece to “Haunted” by Beyonce, Logan Samuels is doing a group tap piece to Riverdance, and Adaire Crabbe has choreographed an African/contemporary dance to “Freedom” by Beyonce. Jackie Larios and co-captain Holly Barnett will perform a hip-hop duet to El Beeper Jersey Club Mix. Byrd, Barnett and Samuels will also perform a Spanish version from the Nutcracker, and Fran Marsili, the group’s artistic director, has choreographed a jazz piece to “One Girl Revolution” by Superchick.
Guest choreographer Abigale Mills, former captain of the dance ensemble, has created a lyrical group piece to “Peter Pan.” Souls of the Feet, a dance group from Pennsylvania, will be guest performers.
