The Hood College Health Center supports the mission of the College to enhance the academic growth and health of all students. The Health Center provides quality medical and preventative health care, educates students about healthy choices and empowers them to make informed decisions in an environment that respects privacy, dignity and diversity.
Hood College is a member of the Maryland Collaborative, a new initiative to reduce college drinking and related problems. The Nursing and Campus Safety staff are trained in Opioid Overdose Response including Naloxone/Narcan administration.
All Hood students are required to complete medical forms by Aug. 1, for incoming fall semester students, and Jan. 2, for incoming spring semester students. Print and complete the forms here.
The Health Center and Campus Safety Staff have been trained in helping someone experiencing an opioid overdose. If someone is experiencing an opioid overdose call EMS at 911 before calling Campus Safety at 301-696-3111.
