Biography
I have more than 30 years’ experience in nursing and have been an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner since 2001. Before coming to Hood College, I taught at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. My approach to teaching is to enter into a partnership with my students to not only help them learn the specific material, but also to help them develop critical thinking/problem solving skills. My clinical specialties are in Neurology and Neurosurgery in all settings from primary care to neurocritical care. I am involved in research in delirium, post-ICU syndrome, nutrition in ICU, and fever management.
